Standard Precast Concrete Building Specifications

A to Z Precast Concrete Products shall provide a Precast Concrete Building. The structure shall be designed to meet the load requirements of the Standard Building Code (SBC) or (ASCE-7-98) "Building Code Requirements for Minimum Design Loads in Buildings and other Structures", and the requirements of the American Concrete Institute (ACE-318-99) "Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete".

The building design will meet or exceed the following minimum loadings:

A. Roof Live Load 60 PSF*
B. Floor Live Load 125 PSF*
C. Wall Wind Load 155 MPH*
D. Earthquake Zone 3*
* Higher load capacities are available upon request

A flat, level, compact crushed stone foundation prepared by others is the standard factory recommended foundation. It shall be constructed on 2,000 PSF soil minimum with crushed stone final grade set a minimum of 4" to 6" above the surrounding grade to insure that water drains away from the building. The building walls shall be 4" nominal thickness, 5" minimum floor thickness, 3 1/2" minimum roof thickness, pitched 1" in 12'.

The building roof shall be designed clear span without the use of interior supporting of any type. The building interior ceiling finished height shall be 8' or 9' standard. (Higher interior height available upon request)

The building floor, walls and roof shall be monolithic pieces with joints or seams at the outside of the walls, floor and roof only.

The building exterior finish shall be a 1" Architectural Fluted Fin Finish and exterior color shall be natural concrete, mesa tan or painted to the customer specifications with masonry paint.

The building exterior calculates at a 1 1/2 hour fireproof rating without affecting the structural properties of the building. (Higher ratings are available upon request)

The building shall be designed for maintenance free use.

The building shall be highly vandal resistant.

The building envelope shall be bulletproof to a 308 rifle and steel bullet at 50 feet.

The building shall be designed to be handled and off loaded with standard pick-ups in the outside walls of the structure.

The building roof system shall be designed to protect its equipment on remote sites from falling ice.

The building design shall be equipped with 3'0" wide x 7'0" high, 18 gauge honeycomb steel door(s). The cast in 16 gauge door frame shall be fitted with a 5/8" stepped aluminum threshold to insure against water infiltration. Three (3) each 4 1/2" door hinges shall be supplied with vandal resistant non-removable hinge pins, door stop chain, a 2 1/2" door rain drip cap and a Schlage dead bolt lock set. All standard doors shall be right hand swing.

The building shall be equipped with two (2) each 8" x 16" fixed aluminum louvers.
